Meet our horses

Picture
Currently Tailored Rides is called home by five horses, though only three are used in our mounted programs.  We allow our herd to live in pastures together, which gives them free range to behave like a "real" horse.  We believe that permitting them time to run, graze and play as their instincts require, provides us with a much more fulfilled equine staff.   When it comes time for our furry friends to work, we find that they are untroubled and pleased to lend a helping hoof (or four) to accommodate our clients needs and wishes.  We understand that like people, our horses all have unique personalities with individual needs. Our philosophy is simple, love our horses as we want to be loved; it hasn't faltered yet!

Moya, is an 15 year old grey  1/2 Percheron , 1/4 Belgian, 1/4 Morgan draft cross who is as wide as she is tall.  Moya was rescued when she was six months old and has lived and thrived at Weybap Farm ever since.  Some of her interests include moving very slowly, being groomed, and anything edible.

Dudley is a twenty-two year old paint quarter horse.  He joined our herd in November of 2017.  Dudley is a been there, done that kind of guy.  He'd rather nap than work, but once he's on the job he knows what to do and how to do it.  Dudley is a healer, preferring to spend time with those who aren't feeling quite up to snuff.  His gentle and kind concern make us all feel better.

Aeval is the baby of our farm.  She is a seven year old Sorrel Paint mare.  Aeval is currently still in "school" and only available for ground lessons as she is still unsure of her role in carrying a rider.  Some of her favorite activities are learning, walks off the property, and following her human friends EVERYWHERE.

Lexie is a twenty-one year old red line dun quarter horse.  She joined our herd in October of 2018.  Lexie is a fancy broke western pleasure horse. She is a real sweet girl, willing to teach anyone the joy of riding.  Lexie likes to be fully versed in what she is supposed to do, but once she understands the task she is willing to do anything asked of her.
