Currently Tailored Rides is called home by seven horses, though only six are used in our mounted programs. We allow our herd to live in pastures together, which gives them free range to behave like a "real" horse. We believe that permitting them time to run, graze and play as their instincts require, provides us with a much more fulfilled equine staff. When it comes time for our furry friends to work, we find that they are untroubled and pleased to lend a helping hoof (or four) to accommodate our clients needs and wishes. We understand that like people, our horses all have unique personalities with individual needs. Our philosophy is simple: love our horses as we want to be loved. It hasn't faltered yet!
Moya, was born in 2006 and she is a grey 1/2 Percheron , 1/4 Belgian, 1/4 Morgan draft cross who is as wide as she is tall. Moya was rescued when she was six months old and has lived and thrived at Weybap Farm ever since. Some of her interests include moving very slowly, being groomed, and anything edible.
Junior Mint is our 2012 model pony. He is as versatile as he is adorable. He can have quite the attitude (he uses his cuteness to his advantage) but he will carefully carry our tiny riders and step up to the challenge of a rider wanting to learn to jump. With his flowing locks, Junior is also perfect for learning how to fancy braid.
Calvin is the newest member of Tailored Rides, joining us in June of 2025. He is a Norwegian Fjord, a breed rarely seen in Texas. He is short and stout and perfect for our volunteers to side walk next to. He has the sweetest personality and is already do great work for us.
Dudley was born in 1999 and is a paint quarter horse. He joined our herd in November of 2017. Dudley is a been there, done that kind of guy. He'd rather nap than work, but once he's on the job he knows what to do and how to do it. Dudley is a healer, preferring to spend time with those who aren't feeling quite up to snuff. His gentle and kind concern make us all feel better.
Lexie is a year 2000 model red line dun quarter horse. She joined our herd in October of 2018. Lexie is a fancy broke western pleasure horse. She is a real sweet girl, willing to teach anyone the joy of riding. Lexie likes to be fully versed in what she is supposed to do, but once she understands the task she is willing to do anything asked of her.
Moses is the boss of the herd. He is a 17 hand tall Appaloosa and can be quite intimidating. He isn't for everyone, but what he does do, he does very well. Appaloosas have a reputation for challenging their riders and Moses lives up to that reputation!
Aeval is the baby of our farm. She is an 11 year old Sorrel Paint mare. Aeval prefers ground lessons and no riders. Some of her favorite activities are begging for treats, walks off the property, and following her human friends EVERYWHERE.
