Mounted Therapeutic Riding
Private Lessons are taught in 4 week sessions and may occasionally include unmounted lessons. Each session is $200.00 ($50.00 per lesson) for riders without a diagnosed disability or special need. For those students with a diagnosis, lessons are automatically discounted to $150.00 ($37.50 per lesson) with payment due on the 1st of each month.
An initial assessment lesson and all paperwork (including a doctor's release if deemed necessary by staff) is required for each new therapeutic rider before placement in lessons.
Lesson fees charged to Tailored Rides clients accounts for a very small fraction of our operating budget. In an effort to make our services accessible to as many clients as possible, Tailored Rides tuition is currently set at $37.50 per therapeutic riding lesson - this is much lower than the industry standard . The real cost for TREAT to run a lesson is over $100.00. We try to keep our fees low by subsidizing the actual costs through fundraising.
Sessions can be joined at anytime (as long as there is space available) and will be pro-rated to reflect the number of lessons
left in a session.
It is Tailored Rides' philosophy to accept riders in the program regardless of financial means. Financial assistance is available for those who feel they cannot pay the full fee. Please contact the TREAT office by email to discuss financial assistance at [email protected] or text 903-401-9644.
